Backup monitoring helps identify whether scheduled jobs complete and whether a problem needs attention. Scheduling a backup is only the first step in keeping usable recovery copies.

What to review
Review the last successful backup, failed or incomplete jobs, and any capacity or source-access issue reported for your service. The published plans include monitoring, with backup health monitoring listed for 1 TB. Confirm the reporting and notification arrangements with Edara instead of assuming a particular dashboard or alert channel.

A missed backup creates a gap
If Monday's job succeeds but Tuesday's fails, the latest usable copy may still be Monday's. Monitoring can draw attention to that gap so it can be investigated. A notification does not mean the missing copy has been recreated or the underlying problem fixed.

Respond to a failure
Contact Edara with the affected source and reported failure. Changes to credentials, source availability, or storage demand may require attention. Confirm the next steps and check that a later job completes successfully. Keep the responsible contact current so important notifications can be acted on.

Monitoring and restore verification
A completed job is useful evidence but is not a guarantee that every possible recovery will work. Discuss an appropriate restore check for important data, including scope and any allowance it uses. Monitoring, retention, and a clear restore process work together to support recovery.
