Frequency describes how often a backup is scheduled. It helps you understand how much recent work might need to be recreated after data is lost.

Daily scheduled backup
The published Edara Backup plans include daily backup for the agreed data. A scheduled run is not the same as a successful recovery point: the source must be accessible and the job must complete. Confirm the covered files or systems and the schedule during setup, especially when business data is added overnight.

Changes between backups
If Monday's backup completed and a file is deleted on Tuesday, Monday's copy may allow recovery. Changes made after that copy will not be in it. Daily backup is not continuous saving of every edit, so consider the amount of recent work your business could afford to lose.

If a scheduled job fails
A failed job can leave a gap in recovery coverage. Review backup monitoring and ask Edara for the last successful recovery point and required follow-up. Do not assume a failed run automatically succeeds later or that a green website status means its data has been backed up.

Frequency, retention, and hosting backup
Frequency is how often copies are made; retention is how long they remain available. Edara Cloud's weekly hosting backup and the separate Edara Backup daily service have different scopes. Ask Edara to review your recovery needs if the standard schedule is not enough; a different schedule requires an agreed service scope.
