Edara Protect periodically checks whether a covered website responds as expected. It helps your team learn about a possible outage without waiting for a customer to report it.

What a check tells you
A check attempts to reach the monitored address and assess its response. A failed check can indicate downtime, but it can also reflect a brief connection problem. It tests the selected address, not every page or transaction. For example, a healthy homepage does not confirm that customers can place orders.

Transient failures and confirmation
A brief failure may recover before the next check. Confirmation checks or failure thresholds, where configured, can help distinguish a one-off problem from an ongoing incident. Ask Edara which rules apply to your monitor; neither instant alerts for every failure nor a fixed confirmation delay should be assumed.

Who receives an alert?
Alerts follow the monitoring configuration and the channels included in your plan. Keep contact details current and agree who will investigate. Essential, Business, and Pro include uptime monitoring for the covered site; compare intervals and alert options on pricing. Ask Edara to review monitor status and history if you need help interpreting a signal.

Detection and repair are separate
Monitoring does not prevent outages or guarantee that all interruptions are observed. An outage between checks may be missed. Receiving an alert means a problem was detected, not that technical assistance has investigated or repaired it. Review incident-response coverage before relying on managed intervention.
