SSL monitoring

Certificate monitoring helps identify validity or expiration problems that can cause visitors to see browser warnings when connecting to your website.

   Validity and expiration

   A website certificate has a validity period and must match the address being visited. An expired certificate or a mismatch can interrupt customer access even if the website itself is running. Protect checks certificate information for the covered addresses, within the configured monitoring scope.

   Acting on a warning

   An expiration warning gives the responsible person an opportunity to arrange renewal. Confirm alert recipients and timing with Edara. Do not assume every certificate problem will be identified before it affects a visitor. Report current browser warnings promptly with the exact address and message.

   Monitoring does not renew the certificate

   SSL monitoring is included on Protect tiers, but certificate installation and renewal belong to the hosting or certificate-management arrangement. For example, if a certificate is nearing expiry, the alert prompts the responsible team to check renewal; it is not confirmation that renewal has happened.

   What this does not assess

   A valid certificate helps secure the connection but does not establish that all website content, user accounts, or software is secure. Confirm coverage for separate subdomains and combine certificate checks with the availability monitoring your business needs.
