A domain transfer changes the registration-management arrangement. It is different from moving website files, moving email messages, or changing the name of the domain holder.

Prepare the transfer
Ask Edara to confirm the process for your domain ending and current registration status. The authorized holder may need to approve the move, provide a transfer code, or remove a transfer restriction where applicable. Requirements differ; do not share sensitive access details in ordinary messages without an agreed secure method.
- 2
Keep website and email working
Record existing DNS settings and agree whether they will stay in place. A registration transfer does not automatically copy website content or mailbox history. For example, transferring company.ae while keeping its current hosting needs a plan to preserve the records pointing visitors and email to those services.

Timing and renewal
Start well before expiry. Transfer eligibility, approval steps, timing, and whether any registration period changes depend on the applicable domain rules. Confirm the offer and current expiry date with Edara. Starting a transfer should not be treated as proof that renewal has completed.

Confirm completion
Check the holder details, management access, renewal date, and website and email behavior after completion. Keep the confirmation for your records. Do not cancel related services until you know which ones are still needed and any separate migrations have been verified.
