Domain ownership

Your domain is your business's name on the internet, such as company.ae. Edara can help manage it for you; management does not make Edara the owner of your domain.

   Your business, your domain, Edara's role

   The customer is the domain holder under the registration arrangement. Edara provides agreed administrative help such as registration, DNS changes, and renewal assistance. Confirm that the registrant record identifies the appropriate customer or business and that you know who can authorize changes. Access used to manage a domain is different from ownership.

   Registration lasts for a defined period

   A domain must remain registered and renewed to stay in use. It is not a one-time purchase that lasts forever. Keep the registration confirmation, expiry date, and renewal responsibilities available to an authorized person in your business. Domain availability must be confirmed before registration.

   A domain is separate from its services

   The same domain can point to a website and support employee email addresses. Hosting and mailbox subscriptions are separate services. For example, moving your website need not change company.ae or your email, provided the relevant DNS records and services are handled correctly.

   Keep control and plan changes

   Use current registrant and contact details, keep a record of authorized administrators, and ask Edara about the handover process if management changes. Do not wait until expiry to arrange a transfer. A change of management should be planned together with any website and email dependencies.
