A hosting backup is a recovery copy of the covered website environment. It can help undo a mistaken change when a suitable earlier copy is available.

What is covered
Confirm the website files, configuration, and any database included in your hosting backup scope. Do not assume external email, connected business applications, or data held outside the hosting service is included. Before launch, identify where important information is stored and whether each source has recovery coverage.

Weekly copies and retention
The published Cloud plans include weekly hosting backup. This is not a copy of every change as it happens: work added after the last successful backup may be missing from that recovery point. The pricing catalog does not specify a hosting retention period; confirm how many copies remain available with Edara.

Requesting a restore
Contact Edara with the affected site, what went wrong, and the time of the last known correct version. Confirm the available recovery point, what will be replaced, and any restore scope or charge before proceeding. Restoring an older website may also replace newer valid content. Check forms and key pages after recovery.

When to consider Edara Backup
Hosting backup supports the hosted site. Dedicated Edara Backup has its own daily schedule, retention, capacity, and restore terms for agreed data. For example, a business adding orders every day should consider whether a weekly recovery point meets its needs. Neither service should be treated as permanent archiving.
