DNS is the set of directions that connects your domain name to services such as your website and business email. Your domain can stay the same even when those services move.

Common records in everyday terms
A and AAAA records point a name to a website address. CNAME gives a name an alternative destination name. MX directs incoming email. TXT can verify ownership or publish email-related instructions. You do not need to memorize them: give Edara the service's required records and explain what you want to connect.

Managed changes
Cloud includes DNS management for the covered domain. Edara applies the agreed records when the necessary access is available. Domain registration and renewal are separate from managing records. Before a change, identify existing website and email records so connecting one service does not accidentally disconnect another.

Why changes take time
Internet services remember DNS answers for a period of time. After a change, some visitors may still receive the old answer until it refreshes; this is often called propagation. There is no single moment when every visitor switches. Plan important changes and allow time to test both website and email afterward.

Moving a website without moving email
If your website moves to new hosting, its website record may change while MX records continue to direct mail to the existing mailboxes. Replacing all records could interrupt email unnecessarily. Send the full change request to Edara and confirm which services should stay where they are.
